Sheriff Picks: Travel Song Tabs

The Sheriff | MXTabs.netHappy 2009 folks! I hope everyone had as wonderful and relaxing a break as I did. It’s good to be back though, and I’m ready to share some more amazing MXTabs.net guitar, bass, and drum tabs with you, so grab your bags and join me as we explore some Song Tabs About Travel.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably spent a fair amount of time in your car recently, traveling to and from various Christmas and New Year’s gatherings. My holiday traveling this year consisted of a 9 hour round trip drive to and from my parent’s house, hardly a long haul, but enough of a drive to awaken the rambler inside of me.

You see, I love to travel. And I mean “travel” in the literal sense, as in moving from one place to another. Oh sure, I absolutely love visiting my friends in California, but really, part of the fun of such a trip is driving across the country and stumbling upon new people, places, ideas, and adventures. You know, the whole “it’s not the destination, it’s the journey” way of thinking.

Keep that old adage in mind while perusing this week’s featured Guitar Tabs of Travel Songs. While some picks are more literal than others, they all embrace in some way the good and bad of “traveling” and life on the road. Enjoy.
