Brevity (noun) – Shortness of duration, especially shortness or conciseness of expression (SOURCE: Merriam-Webster OnLine Dictionary)

To be honest with you – and that’s what this whole Web 2.0 thing is about, right? Transparency? – I was at a complete loss when I sat down to write this week’s Sheriff Picks. I had yet to choose a theme or perform any type of research whatsoever. Plus, I was unsure if I would even be able to finish the post without working late. Considering these circumstances, my first objective was to think of the most simple topic possible, one that I could write a brief and, dare I admit, shorter-than-normal blog post about. However, after about 15 minutes of unsuccessful contemplation I decided to try a different route (after all, time was a-tickin’). What if I just made my topic about that quality I so desired my post to have – brevity. OK, maybe not the best idea the world’s ever known, but I ran with it anyway, and thus Song Tabs About Brevity was born.

I apologize for the lack of drum tabs present in today selection, but that’s just the way the dice roll sometimes. Next week when we take a look at Song Tabs of Music from the 1980s (Yay! I already have a topic!) I’ll be sure to include plenty of drum tabs to make up for their lack today.

And for the record, I’m usually way, WAY more on top of things than this post may indicate, it’s just that it has been one those insanely busy, try-to-keep-your-head-above-water type of weeks for me. Good thing it’s Friday ;-)
