Green dyed rivers and fountains, massive street parades, corned beef with cabbage, and – of course – lots and lots of Guinness beer.
That’s right, Saint Patrick’s Day is just right around the corner folks. Tuesday, March 17th to be exact. And to help everyone get ready for the big day, today I’m offering up a small selection of St. Patrick’s Day Song Tab for you to rock out to.
Most of these songs were written and performed by Irish bands or recording artists (Dropkick Murphys, Van Morrison), a few of them simply fit today’s theme (John Mayer, Alkaline Trio), but ALL of them are sure to get you into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit.
So get practicing, and may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows your dead!

I would have gone with Sunday Bloody Sunday for U2, considering it’s at least a song about Irish history.
Good point, Willisis2. However, MXTabs.net hasn’t yet secured a license to display most U2 songs. I figured it was best to include “Vertigo” rather than to not include any U2 at all.
this site used to kick ass but now…… seems to have lost its use
Hey Cris, can you please explain what you mean by that? Do you mean the blog or MXTabs? Remember, everything we do on MX is legal and helps support the songwriters that are out there, pounding the pavement every day.
That’s understandable mcclure
Monica, the site is now legal, so a lot of tabs aren’t active. The tabs that aren’t active are from publishers that haven’t agreed to license mx through a share in ad profits and musicnotes. I think Cris was saying it stinks that we can’t find as many tabs now, though I wouldn’t call the site useless. haha, who’s officer mcclure. Mike is that you?
Yep… mcclure = mrm06 = Mike = The Sheriff. I’ve got multiple personalities :)
haha you’re weird
