Among the 80,000+ tabs available on MXTabs.net are numerous scales, exercises and original riffs, written by our members to assist their fellow musicians in becoming better performers. Until recently, however, many of these “educational tabs” were lost in the deep, dark recesses of our site, not easy to find in search and certainly not collected in one place. Well, lucky for you, that is no longer the case!
We’ve been busy cleaning up data on many of these tabs, and today we’d like to share the results with the following Bass Guitar Scales, Exercises & Riffs.
For example, check out this C Major Scale in 1st and 2nd Position (perfect for a beginning bassist), or this E Blues Scale (you’ll need to become familiar with this one if you plan on rockin’ out à la Led Zeppelin or Rolling Stones style). To view all of our Bass Guitar Scales, click the link below:
We also offer Bass Guitar Exercises to assist you in practicing various bass guitar performing techniques. These range from Beginner Slide Exercises to Intermediate Slap Exercises and Advanced Bossa Nova Tapping Exercises. Check out all of our exercises here:
Finally, over the years our members have submitted dozens upon dozens of original Bass Guitar Riffs to MXTabs.net. Many of these riffs, such as this Beginner Blues Bass Riff, can be used as a springboard to inspire your own riffs. This is especially true if your creative juices are running low which happens to even the best bassist at times. Click below to get your juices flowing again:
Please help us to expand our selection of “educational tabs” by submitting your own bass guitar scale, exercise, or riff to MXTabs.net. Because we don’t need to license these types of tabs from music publishers, we’ll be able to send them straight to Limbo, where YOU can vote on whether or not they become official MX tabs. Thank you!
