MXTabs.net is a music tablature website that was originally created in 1999, offering free guitar, bass, and drum tablature created by users of the site. The site was shut down in June 2006 due to licensing issues. After the site had shut down, it was purchased by Musicnotes.com and relaunched in the Summer of 2008.

You can now visit MXTabs.net to find free, legal tablature for drummers, bassists and guitarists. Currently the site has over 50,000 free, legal tab so check it out. The site also offers forums and other community-based features for musicians to interact with.

No Links or References to Unlicensed Sheet Music or Other Illegal Sites
As the only free and legal tab site out here on the web, music licensing is really important to us. Any comment that refers to a site that offers unlicensed sheet music will be edited to delete the website or download reference. Links or references to other illegal sites, regardless of content, will also not be published. Sorry everyone, that’s just the way it is.

Rock On With One Another
So here’s the thing. Band drama isn’t cool. Being crappy to one another is also definitely “not cool.” If you make a comment that directly or indirectly “attacks” another commenter, we’re not going to publish it. End of story.
